Silver Strand State Beach
Become a Junior Ranger and go birdwatching at Silver Strand State Beach!
You'll get to borrow our binoculars and join us as we as we try to discover some of the birds at the state beach. At the end of our exploration, you'll get a badge showing that you are a California State Parks Junior Ranger!
Meet outside lifeguard headquarters (look for the tall tower on the ocean side of the highway).
This activity is free, but there is a fee to drive into the state beach.
We ask that a parent or guardian fill out a sign-up form for their children at the start of the program. We ask that a parent or guardian remain inside the state beach while their kids participate, in case of any emergency.
